Fake Adopt Me Games: How to Spot the Real One
The real Adopt Me is published by the verified Uplift Games group, has more than 45 billion visits, and its address is roblox.com/games/920587237. A game with a similar name and a different creator is a copy, and nothing you get there will ever show up in the real game.

Three things a copy can't fake
A fake can borrow the thumbnail, the name, even the pumpkin emoji in the title. It can't borrow these:
| Check | Real Adopt Me (Oct 25, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Creator under the title | Uplift Games group, blue verified badge, 14.9M members |
| Visits | over 45 billion |
| Playing right now | around 250,000 |
| Page address | roblox.com/games/920587237 |
| Created | July 14, 2017 |
Visits and creator are the fastest tell. The real game counts visits in the tens of billions, and the name under the title is Uplift Games with the badge. If you're unsure, open the real game page and compare.
One thing confuses players on non-English devices: Roblox translates game titles to match your interface language, so the real Adopt Me can show up under a different name. Same creator, same 920587237, same game. The description also names the studio founders, NewFissy (CTO) and Bethink (creative director), and NewFissy owns the Uplift Games group.
What fake Adopt Me games are actually for
Nobody builds a copy so you can have fun in it. It's almost always one of these:
- Your password. The game promises high-value Adopt Me pets once you "verify your account," meaning type your login into a box inside the game.
- Your Robux. "Pay a little and the pets go straight to your Adopt Me." They don't, and the Robux don't come back.
- Visits. A familiar name and thumbnail pull in kids who were looking for the real game. Roblox's Community Standards ban content made to be confused with another creator's to drive discovery or money.
Ads and Roblox groups promising Adopt Me pets for Robux or a password lead to these copies every time. Report them with Report Abuse, and report the copy itself too. Every report takes a little traffic away from a game built to trick the next kid who searches for Adopt Me.
Can you move pets from a fake game?
No. Your Adopt Me inventory lives with the game itself, and no other experience can add a pet to it or take one out. "You'll get them in real Adopt Me" is always a lie.
People still go looking for copies where they can hold pets they'll never own. If you do, keep your main account out of it:
- a copy can ask for your password, and on your main that's your whole inventory at risk;
- Robux purchases inside a copy come out of whichever account you're playing on;
- some copies push a "mod" or "pet script" download, and the Adopt Me team has warned that any program with access to your Roblox client can trade without you.
Real free stuff only happens inside the real game
When someone promises free pets, ask where. The real Adopt Me does give things away, but always in game, never through a link.
Every Saturday at 9 a.m. Pacific, Admin Abuse runs: developers join servers, switch on boosts and hand out rewards like in-game currency, sticker packs, gifts and sometimes temporary or non-tradable pets. No password, no Robux, no joining a stranger's group.
New events and giveaways are announced in the news section of playadopt.me and on the @PlayAdoptMe account. If a "giveaway" isn't there or in the game, it doesn't exist.
Fake trades inside the real game
There's a second kind of fake, and it happens in real servers. One scammer "sells" a high-tier pet for one specific rare toy, and their alt happens to be offering exactly that toy. You trade your best pets for the toy, then both accounts leave.
The fix is a habit: trade for things you actually want, not things you plan to flip a minute later. The rest of the tricks are in Adopt Me Scams in 2026: Every Trick and How to Avoid It.
Already typed your password into a copy?
Move fast, before someone else logs in first:
- Change your Roblox password and turn on two-step verification.
- Hold your Trade License and open your trade history, which covers the last 30 days.
- If pets are gone, press Report on each of those trades.
- If you're locked out, recover the account through Roblox support, then go back to step 2.
The pressure line gives most copies away: "giveaway ends in 5 minutes." The real game never rushes you. Copies always do.
Questions
How do I know if Adopt Me is real or fake?
Check the creator and the visits. The real game is made by the Uplift Games group with a blue verified badge, has over 45 billion visits and hundreds of thousands of players online, and its URL contains 920587237.
Can you get pets from a fake Adopt Me game?
Not real ones. Your Adopt Me inventory is stored by the game itself, and no other experience can add pets to it. If a copy promises to send pets to your real Adopt Me, it's a scam.
Why do people make fake Adopt Me games?
To collect passwords, to get Robux for pets that never arrive, or to farm visits from kids who were searching for the real game. Roblox rules ban content made to be confused with someone else's.
Is it safe to join a fake Adopt Me game?
Not on the account that holds your pets. Never type your password, never pay Robux for promised pets, and never download anything a copy offers.
I entered my password in a fake game. What now?
Change your Roblox password, turn on two-step verification, and check your trade history with the Trade License. Report any trade you didn't make.
