Where it comes from

  • Amethyst Penguin is a legendary pet in Adopt Me.
  • Hatches fromGemstone Egg · 1.7 % chance
  • Released on September 11, 2026.
  • In-game price: 28 stars (Gemstone Egg).
  • Still obtainable in the game.
  • Can be made Neon and Mega Neon.

Fresh pets always swing in price at first, and this one is no exception. The longer it stays in the egg, the more players will hatch it. It's one of the most expensive pets right now, but it's been dropping over the last month.

It hatches from Gemstone Egg, and that egg costs 28 stars. The pet is still obtainable, so anyone can try for it. It's a legendary, and you can make it Neon and Mega Neon.

Demand is medium, and that's the real trap here. It's priced almost the same as Cryptid and Haetae, but those are retired. Balloon Unicorn is a bit more expensive, and it's retired too. While the penguin is still in the egg, you'll see a lot of offers. We'd hold it rather than trade it cheap, and we wouldn't take the first offer.
