Trade it while it still has value: the price has been dropping over the past month, so holding on is a losing move. Demand is very low and offers are rarely generous, so don't sell cheap either.

Cooling off fast: the price has dropped over the past month and demand is very low, so buyers are picky. Estimates are all over the place, so one offer can be a win and the next a big lose.

Kelp Captain came out on July 18, 2025 during Summer Festival 2025 and hatched from Kelp Raider Box at 13,000 Doubloons. You can't get it in-game anymore, only through trading.

Value-wise it sits near retired pets like Rhino and Harp Seal — roughly the same. But demand for Kelp Captain is weaker, so a fair swap will be harder to find.

If you're holding one, trade it before the drop eats the rest of its value. If it's in an offer, grab it only with an add — otherwise you risk a lose.
