Retired Pets and Eggs in Adopt Me — Everything That Left in 2026

Retired means the shop is closed for good. Even the Releaser eggs won't hand it out — the Basic and Crystal Eggs only hatch what is currently obtainable in the game. From then on, the only source is another player's inventory.

Why retired pets tend to gain value

While a pet is in a shop or an egg, there are more of them every day. Once it retires, the count freezes and then shrinks: copies get turned into neons or released for tickets. New players can only trade for it, so value often climbs.

Often, not always. Demand does the lifting. An event pet that everyone bought can stay flat for a long time, while a 3% legendary from a Gumball egg was scarce from day one.

We've held a pet "until it retires" and sold it for less than we paid, because demand faded before the pet did. Treat the retired tag as a reason to check the trend on value list, not as a promise.

Everything that retired in 2026

The cheap Robux pets of an event (99–150 Robux) tend to leave a little later than the event itself: Pupcake left on April 17, Burger Bear and S'mores Raccoon on July 24.

Golden and Diamond Eggs left, their pets mostly didn't

On September 11, Stars became a currency and the old reward pages were removed. Golden Griffin, Golden Dragon, Golden Unicorn, Diamond Griffin and Diamond Dragon moved into the Gemstone Egg for 28 Stars. The one exception is the Diamond Unicorn — now it only comes out of Diamond Eggs players still have.

The Final Stop Shop was the last call for Robux items

From April 24 to May 1, Sean sold a batch of Robux items at a discount one last time. Then the Firefly, the Fossil Isle Returns Bundle with the Expandable Dino House, the Modern and Celebrity Mansions, the Hospital and Schoolhouse Homes, the Soccer Stadium, the Ultra Car Pack and more went off sale.

Every old Gumball egg with release and retire dates

The rotating Gumball Machine egg in the Nursery cost 750 Bucks and lasted somewhere between two and eight months.

Event eggs and one-off giveaways

• Blue Egg and Pink Egg — 2019, around the launch of pets;
• Christmas Egg — Christmas 2019, until January 11, 2020;
• Easter 2020 Egg — free from April 7 to 28, 2020, always hatches a Chick;
• Zodiac Minion Egg — two weeks in June 2022;
• Fool Egg — one week, April 1–8, 2023, for 1,000 Bucks;
• Golden and Diamond Eggs — Star Rewards from March 20, 2020, to September 11, 2026.

The Retired Egg isn't retired

The Retired Egg is still on sale for 600 Bucks in the Nursery VIP room. It holds the pets from the original Cracked, Pet and Royal Eggs, which were refreshed on July 21, 2022.

Trade trap: someone calls it "a retired egg, super rare" and asks for an overpay. Anyone with VIP can buy as many as they want — there's nothing to overpay for.

What retires next

November 2 is next: when Halloween ends, Jester Dragon, Copycat, Skelicorn, Stray Cat Dragon and the rest of the event pets go limited. Count Slothula is the exception — it moves to the Pet Shop. Full event breakdown: Halloween 2026 event.

The current Gumball egg is the Fairytale Egg. In 2026 the slot changed twice, on February 28 and August 29. On that rhythm the next swap would come around late February 2027 — nothing official has been announced.

How not to get burned on a retired pet

We wouldn't buy a pet just because it's "about to retire". Check how often it shows up in trades, how its value moved over the last few weeks, and whether you actually want it. The Diamond Unicorn, for example, retired in September and sits at 0.41 now — compare that with its history.

The trap that catches people: a retired pet doesn't always stop appearing. Diamond Unicorns still hatch from unopened Diamond Eggs sitting in inventories, and Christmas Eggs still come out of old Christmas Gifts and Golden Gifts. If plenty of unopened eggs are out there, new copies keep reaching the market.
