Adopt Me Trading Slang: What W/F/L, HTT, DP and SSBD Mean

Updated

Adopt Me traders talk in short codes. W means you won the trade, L means you lost it, OP is an overpay, HTT is a pet that's hard to trade, DP is your dream pet, SSBD is Strawberry Shortcake Bat Dragon and NFR is a neon with Fly and Ride potions.

An open notebook with doodles of eggs, tags, arrows and speech bubbles, a pencil beside it

"how much did yall op for ur dp?" is a perfectly normal sentence on Adopt Me trading boards. Translated: how much did you overpay for your dream pet? Below are the words you'll meet in offers, trade posts and value lists, with examples of how players actually use them.

Words for judging a trade

Term Meaning Example
W win: you got more than you gave "huge W"
F fair: roughly even "W/F/L?"
L loss: you gave more "that's an L, decline"
OP overpay, giving more than the pet's value "how much did yall op for ur dp?"
lowball an offer far below the pet's value "avoid being lowballed"
add, adds small extras to even out a trade "would have declined if I didn't see he was adding"
offer what someone gives for your pet "Is my offer for ssbd that bad?"
randoms cheap mixed pets thrown in for value "a lot of randoms for ride potions"
panic trading accepting a bad deal just to finish "stop panic trading"
upgrade, downgrade trading several pets for one bigger pet, or one pet for several smaller ones "downgrading for adds"

Where fair actually ends is a judgment call. Our cut-offs are in W, F or L? How to Check an Adopt Me Trade in 30 Seconds.

Versions and potions

Term Meaning Example
F, fly flyable, from a Fly-A-Pet Potion "F pot"
R, ride rideable, from a Ride-A-Pet Potion "not even worth an R pot now"
FR fly and ride "FR turtle"
NP, No Potion no potions "NP owl"
N, neon neon version of a pet "neon ccbd"
NFR neon with fly and ride "NFR kangaroo"
M, mega mega neon, the step above neon "mega owl"
MFR mega neon with fly and ride "MFR crow"
pots potions "fly ride pots"

One letter causes more confusion than the rest. In "W/F/L" the F means fair; next to a pet, F means fly. "Is this F?" under a trade screenshot is asking about fairness, not potions.

Rarity

Term Rarity in the game
common Common
uncommon Uncommon
rare Rare
UR, ultra Ultra-Rare
leg, legendary Legendary

"A leg for a leg" means a legendary for a legendary. Remember that ultra-rare and legendary pets need a Trade License before they can go into a trade at all.

Demand and value

Term Meaning Example
HTT hard to trade "mega cabbit CANNOT be this htt"
ETT easy to trade "I always take htt for my ett pets"
demand how many people want a pet right now "values are heavily based on demand"
stock, stocked how many copies exist "the highest stocked item from that event"
high tier, low tier expensive and cheap pets on a value list "never touched a high tier"
hype sudden rush for a pet, often a new one "it should not be rising every update"
retired no longer obtainable, trade-only "retired eggs"
DP dream pet "with values I'm never getting my dp"
FT for trade "are the pets ft?"
inv inventory "I hope to have a huge inv soon"
PW pet wear "legendary for pet wear"

Long names get cut down to a word or to initials.

Words that mean close the trade

Term What it really is
trust trade you press accept first and "trust" the other player to do the same. The scammer always insists that you go first
"I'll add after" a trade holds 18 items per side; anything promised must be in the window before you accept
trading script, force trade in October 2026 the Adopt Me developers said there is no way to force a trade in normal gameplay without access to your account or device. Don't download or run anything someone sends you from a trade

The full list of schemes is in Adopt Me Scams in 2026: Every Trick and How to Avoid It.

The trap: reading NFR as "no FR"

NFR always means Neon Fly Ride. New players sometimes read it as "no fly ride" and think the pet has no potions, or the other way round. A pet without potions is labeled No Potion or NP, and in the trade window the icons settle it: a green N for neon, fly and ride icons next to it.
