Monkey Box is where it hatched from, and that box cost 600 bucks during the Monkey Fairground event. The event is over, so you can't get the pet in-game anymore — trade only.
Players don't take Monkeys eagerly, so don't expect a big offer for one. A Fly Ride normal is worth noticeably more than a normal with no potions, and a Neon goes for less than the four normals you put into it — building one isn't worth it.
Its value sits close to Narwhal and Lobster, other retired event pets that usually show up as adds. If someone offers a Monkey, count it as a bonus on top of the real deal, not a reason to accept.
