The rarity is only rare, not legendary, so the price stays low no matter that it hatches from a retired egg. Rare pets from old eggs usually sit in the cheap tier unless they look cool or are hard to find.
You can still get it today: the Retired Egg costs 600 bucks in the game and is always available. Every hatch gives you a chance at the Rabbit, but since the egg is not limited, there's no rush.
On trades, demand is very low — people take it reluctantly. A Fly Ride normal goes for noticeably more than a normal NP, and a Neon is cheaper than four regular Rabbits combined. So if you're building one, buying the Neon outright is usually the smarter move.
Value-wise, it's about the same as Sheepdog Ducky, Ruddy Duck, Princess Mare and Poodle — all cheap picks. Keep it as an add in bigger trades, not as your main offer.
